I looked at so many types of "lap desks" to help lift up my iPad so I wouldn't get the neck strain that causes my migraines. This one was expensive, but it was the only one that had all of the features I wanted:-Tilt options-15" adjustable legs -Tablet "slot" that was wide enough for my 2018 iPad Pro (although I use the bookstand instead--another bonus) -No stationary lip or stopper at the bottom that would interfere with drawing-Positive reviews (of course!) Bonuses that I'm very thankful for:-Soft-touch "leather" patterned surface that provides enough friction to keep paper or a drink from sliding, but no "sticky" feel-Solid, quality build and feel of legs and tilt mechanisms-Tilt and extension features are independent on each side, so you can adjust for an uneven surface-Removable book stand that can be used seperately (although it feels flimsy)-Drawer (pretty spacious and never opens when I'm carrying around)-Sleigh feet--never get caught on blankets, carpet, etc.Cons:-It's heavy and cumbersome to carry around. A built-in handle would have helped.-Flipside of the sturdy build is that it takes some effort to open the legs (That's what she said...).
